Kalona Historical Society vs COVID 2020
When the pandemic hit in March of 2020 the Kalona Historical Society was not sure what to expect, after closing for 73 days, having all group tours cancel, not being able to have any of our events the Society knew that they had to make some changes and start getting creative.
We quickly realized that we have a great community who generously supported us with memberships and donations when we reached out, we were also fortunate to have received a PPP loan and recently received an Iowa Arts & Cultural Recovery grant from the state of Iowa. With all of this support the Society is able to keep moving forward in 2021 and serve our community.
To all of you who supported us – THANK YOU! We couldn’t have done it without you.
